Training Manual summary published

The Training manual summary has been published and soon all documents will be online.

The manual is one of the key outputs of the ClimaSoilHealth-Tanzania project. The project’s aim is to enhance Tanzania’s national capacity for sustainable soil health restoration, aiding climate change adaptation and mitigation to improve food security. It focuses on training national institutions in precision-based soil health management practices suited to local conditions. The course targets field researchers, agriculture extension agencies, farmer groups, and key public and private sector stakeholders involved in soil management and food security.
Project partners and stakeholders in Tanzania jointly prepared the training manual’s outlines and contents on soil health. The content has been drafted, edited, and quality assured by experts.
Feedback from initial trainer sessions will guide revisions and updates. Parts of the manual will be adapted into local languages based on target group needs. The training manual is laid out in three main modules and several submodules:

  • Module 1: Soil health concepts
  • Module 2: Monitoring and Assessment of Soil health
  • Module 3: Soil health Management options/practices specific to local context
